Roberto Gonzalez
Executive Vice President
Roberto Gonzalez serves as the Executive Vice President of Employment & Training Centers, Inc. Mr. Gonzalez holds a B.A. in Politial Science
and Psychology from Indiana University in Bloomington and brings a wide range of experience to ETC. From 1974 to 1979 he worked as an
employment and training planner for the Houston-Galveston Area Council. He then worked as a researcher and project officer for the U.S.
Department of Labor until 1982. Mr. Gonzalez started R. Gonzalez & Associates, Inc., a management consulting firm specializing in
proposal and bid preparations, program development, and administration of vocational education, job training, and other government
projects. Additionally, Mr. Gonzalez is well-respected for his work in education, much of which has been done through School House
Management, LLC.
Mr. Gonzalez is also heavily involved in the community, having been an acting member of a number of organizations, including the HISD
Peer Task Force to Improve Graduation Rates and Reduce Dropout Rates as well as the HISD Partnership Advisory Committee, the University
of St. Thomas School of Education, Houston A+ Challenge, the National Association of Employment & Training Contractors, the Greater
Houston P16+ Council, the Children's Museum of Houston, and the Greater Houston Inner City Games/After School All-Stars Foundation.
